From 2001 to 2011, there were 154 shootings in U.S. hospitals where at least one person was injured. More health care workers, patients and visitors have been endangered and even killed by active shooters since then.
Because of this, it is increasingly relevant for health care organizations to ensure they are able to carry out an active shooter response plan.
