AHRQ study finds that hospital-acquired conditions fell between 2014 and 2016

A recent Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) study found that hospital-acquired conditions, or adverse events, fell by 8% between 2014 and 2016, resulting in $2.9 billion in savings and prevention of an estimated 8,000 deaths. Major improvements were also seen in infections and adverse drug events.
