Denise is a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association Behavioral Health Statewide Constituency Group and successfully chaired four two-year terms. It was in this role she testified before the Louisiana House Ways and Means Committee during the 2015 Legislative Session to help secure passage of HB-307. Denise also successfully completed four two-year terms on the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Legislative, Regulatory and Policy Council.
Denise is a current member of the LHA LRPC (Legislative, Regulatory & Policy Council) and represents the Behavioral Health Constituency group. She is also a current member of Med BR under the Mayor’s Healthy City Initiative/Behavioral Health Group and a strong proponent in Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration.
Dina joined the mission of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in May 2017. She is from Philadelphia, PA and moved to Louisiana in 2014 to work with Christus Health System St Frances Cabrini in Alexandria, LA as the executive director of nursing operations. Prior to Christus Health, she spent 11 years in several organizations in Atlanta, GA and surrounding counties in many different positions. Dina holds an ADN and BSN from Norfolk State University in Virginia. She obtained her MSN from the University of West Georgia in 2010 and a Doctorate in nursing practice from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Dent is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Association of Colleges of Nursing, American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives, where she serves on the ACHE Louisiana Chapter Diversity and Inclusiveness Committee. Dina is also the co-chair of OLOLs diversity and inclusion council.
