Paul Anderson

Paul Anderson is the Director of Patient Safety, Risk, and Quality Publications at ECRI, an independent, nonprofit organization improving the safety, quality, and cost effectiveness of care across all healthcare settings. He oversees ECRI’s suite of patient safety, risk management, and quality publications, providing guidance and news for providers across the continuum of care in ambulatory, acute, and post-acute settings. In addition, he provides operational support and direction for patient safety and risk management programs with federally qualified health centers and ECRI Institute Patient Safety Organization.

In more than 20 years at ECRI, Paul has researched and written on risk management and patient safety topics ranging from MRI safety and effective communication to emergency preparedness and OSHA compliance. He has most recently written and spoken to aging services providers, hospitals, physician groups, and risk managers nationwide on the emergence of social media, consumer technologies, and their role in healthcare. He is the host of ECRI's podcast, "Smart Healthcare Safety."
