Presentation

Violence never takes a day off and neither should vigilance among staff. North Caddo Medical Center (NCMC) wants staff to be prepared for violent encounters that may arise with patients and visitors at their organization. Therefore, violence identification and de-escalation training using MOAB has been incorporated into new hire training on a monthly basis. Mr. Marze will discuss how NCMC has successfully implemented this program into the organization and hear stories of how it has been successfully used in practice.

Objectives:

  1. Discuss how situational awareness can improve employee safety.
  2. Identify warning signs of escalating behavior.
  3. Discuss the importance of having a plan.
