Amazon Wades Deeper Into Healthcare
Amazon announced on June 28 it is buying online pharmacy PillPack, which, overnight, will give it the capabilities to ship prescriptions nationwide, making it a threat to the traditional pharmacy business. Analysts estimate the purchase price to be roughly $1 billion.  Read more 
Algorithm Predicts End of Life
An algorithm developed at Stanford Medicine can predict which patients are likely to die in the next three to twelve months, thus giving patients and caregivers the option to weigh pros and cons of entering into palliative care. Read more
