Overview

Service animals play a crucial role in patient care, making it essential for healthcare providers to understand their importance and how to appropriately interact with them.

Our speaker, who personally relies on a service dog, will share firsthand experiences from an inpatient setting, highlighting the dog's role in treatment.

The presentation will also cover key regulatory and compliance considerations under Title II of the ADA, as well as the unique challenges faced by service animals in healthcare facilities.
