Along with a degree in Criminal Justice, Ms. Hebert is a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) & a Certified Healthcare Emergency Planner (CHEP) with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare security in the United States, spending the vast majority of her career building an effective and successful Security program that started with one midsize hospital and grew to a 7 hospital system consisting of the largest medical center in the region, acute and non-acute hospitals, ambulatory hospitals, clinics, and physician offices. Anjanette led the environment of care team through multiple successful The Joint Commission surveys and assisted with numerous surveys conducted by various regulatory agencies.
In addition to her long-term role as Director of Security, Safety, and Emergency Preparedness, Ms. Hebert also served as the Coalition Lead for 50+ healthcare partners in Region 4 of Louisiana, responsible for building and leading the healthcare emergency preparedness coalition through more than 15 disaster activations including Hurricane Katrina.
After retiring from that role and before joining PalAmerican in 2018, Ms. Hebert worked as an independent consultant providing active shooter training and risk assessments. Additionally, keeping her EM hat on, she worked with a local long-term recovery coalition after the 2016 flood and deployed to Puerto Rico in a Logistics role as part of a Health and Medical Task Force in support of Hurricane Maria.
Ms. Hebert has been active in IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) for more than 25 years having served in a variety of roles on the Board of Directors, has received the Presidential Award for outstanding service to the Association and industry, and is currently a member of the Guidelines Council.
