Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) Associated with Coronavirus Disease

The CDC has provided a Health Advisory for reported cases of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) in children associated with COVID-19.

Numerous cases have been identified and have occurred in children who have tested positive for current or recent COVID-19 infection. It is currently unknown if MIS-C is exclusive to children or if it also will occur in adults. This Health Advisory provides a case definition of MIS-C and recommends report suspected cases to local, state, or territorial health departments.
