Access to Care Closer to Home: The Clinic Improvement Extravaganza

The Maurice Community Care Clinic successfully expanded its capacity to provide enhanced medical services to the local community by adding a Registered Nurse Supervisor and three more physicians specializing in General Surgery and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) care to its staff.

The clinic conducted a thorough needs assessment, revealing a demand for the inclusion of general surgery and an ENT specialist to meet the community’s healthcare requirements. In response to the findings, clinic leadership appointed a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who assumed the role of Medical Doctor (MD) recruiter and successfully recruited professionals concentrating in these two medical specialties.

By reinforcing clinical leadership and diversifying its healthcare offerings, Maurice Community Care Clinic is now better positioned to meet the community’s growing healthcare needs.
