The symposium aids you in finding effective strategies to mitigate workplace violence and raise awareness of topics that influence safety in the work environment.

Apply this knowledge to current violence prevention strategies and security efforts in hospitals, physician office practices, and other healthcare organizations to create a safer environment for everyone. Anyone interested in workplace violence prevention, including Security Directors, Risk Managers, Quality Directors, CNOs, Patient Safety Coordinators, Clinical Staff, and Non-Clinical Department Managers, is invited to attend this event.

Continuing Education

Nursing: 5.5 nursing contact hours by Hospital Services of Louisiana, Inc for complete attendance of the program. Hospital Services of Louisiana, Inc is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing – CE Provider #60.

CHSP/CPSO: 5.5 contact hours of continuing education credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of CHSP designation of Certified Healthcare Safety Professional & CPSO designation of Certified Patient Safety Officer.

CPHRM: 5.25 contact hours of continuing education credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow) and towards CPHRM renewal.
