Requirements for Notification of Confirmed COVID-19 in Nursing Homes

CMS issued a memo for long term care facilities that require reporting of cases of COVID-19 or Persons under Investigation (PUI) for COVID-19 to state and local health departments using a standardized format. The memo also discusses the enforcement of transparency of the facilities in keeping residents and their families up to date on conditions inside the facility such as new cases of COVID-19.
